Williamsburg

There is one speed for this little guy.... fast!

ducks!

Head shape and size is definitely a dominant gene for the Madden men

I love my Mimi

We made the trip up to Williamsburg, VA this past weekend for Pop and Mimi's 40th Wedding Anniversary Celebration. I loved the great weather, and all of the outdoor activities. Being that it was colonial Williamsburg, I had to at least try on a three point hat, but it came off almost as fast as we put it on. The Shumadine clan joined us for the trip, and I loved getting to meet Taylor and Henley. They will be like my "Richmond" big sisters! Thanks to Aunt Katherine for taking all the pics- next time she will have to be in more!!

Playgroup and Water!

Playgroup was at Porter's house on Friday. He has this awesome water table that I could not get enough of. I was all about splashing around and making a mess. We were all soaking wet, so the moms just decided to strip us all down to our diapers. It was much easier to play this way. What a great afternoon and gorgeous Spring day. Thank you Porter!

Haircut and Day Out with Mom

I went to get my second haircut on Friday, but this time I got to sit in the car! I was a very good boy, so they gave me lots of animal crackers (you can see by the picture that I thoroughly enjoyed them). Mom and I then went on to Swoozies to pick up a birthday present, and I found a chair that was just my size. It was a 70's shag chair- groovy!

Patrick's First Birthday (in '75)

Thank you, Tassie and Richard, for sending these wonderful and funny pictures of Patrick's First Birthday party. Can't you see the resemblance? The Madden sweet-tooth gene continues!

Throwing the Ball

Patiently waiting...

I've got to see what this ball is all about

So much for that, I'm off!

I tried one of Shep's favorite things this afternoon...throwing the stinky, wet tennis ball to him. He is so tolerable of me poking my fingers up his nose and crawling over his face; all for a tiny piece of cheese or lone green bean that happens to drop from my high chair. Golden retreivers really are the best dogs for kiddies!

Birthday Cake- Round 2

Gogo made me a yummy belated birthday cake, since they did not get to watch me eat my first one (which was quite a disappointment anyways). I took a new approach with this train cake, and dug right in face first. I ended up really liking this one, and had a pretty good sugar-buzz to show.

The Zoo

We ran into Elijay, Cooper and Nate (Danielle and Shane Griffin's boys)
Merry-go-round

Petting zoo

Tigers

Pandas

Mom, Gogo and I went to the zoo today! I was a little afraid of the big elephants; the meerkats were more my pace. I giggled at the giraffes and gorillas, and even saw tigers and pandas! I rode the choo-choo train and merry-go-round twice, and it got more fun with each ride. I enjoyed the petting zoo, but really did not know what to do with all these weird looking animals around me (I am more used to Shep, Susan and the occasional squirrel). I had my first dippin' dots, which was a bittersweet experience. All and all, a very fun day!

Watch out... I'm walking!

I took my first steps down at Hilton Head over Easter weekend. Of course it had to be on the beach in front of 50 relatives, maximum praise points! Here I am walking to Dada, looking like a drunk sailor. More weekend posts to come... Sorry if there is no sound

Peachtree Park Easter Egg Hunt

I am in awe of Wade's "muscle man" pose

Charlie and I taking a break from the hunting

I had fun hunting for eggs last weekend with some of my neighborhood pals. I hated crawling in the scratchy grass, but did manage to find a couple of eggs and see a couple of pals.
